An injury doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your #gainz

One of the great frustrations of dealing with an injury is losing the fitness and progress that you have worked so hard to gain. While the injury itself may only take a few weeks to recover from, feeling like your old self again may take several more weeks as you have to progressively rebuild your fitness.

Unfortunately, traditional physical therapy services aren't designed to help you recover from your injury while simultaneously maintaining or even improving your fitness. Their time is short, their patient load is too high and your insurance likely won't reimburse them for managing your strength & conditioning. It's not that they don't recognize the issue or want to help, it's just that the system has their hands tied.

Breaking the ties that bind

Over the last nearly 20 years, as a physical therapist and gym owner, I have honed my skills in working with individuals not only in helping them manage their injuries, but also maintaining and in some cases improving their fitness. It can be a delicate balance, but since I am not beholden to anyone's insurance company demands, at Hollingsworth Performance, I have the luxury and flexibility to create treatment plans that speak to my client's goals, not just what their insurance provider is willing to pay for.

A typical therapy session may include: manual therapy, specific therapeutic exercises and stretches as well as a short strength and conditioning session designed specifically with your fitness and performance goals in mind.

If you are currently dealing with an injury and are worried about losing fitness during the recovery process, I'm here to ease your worries. Book a Discovery Call today and let's come up with a plan to help you Bounce Forward
